Why Switch to Jamstack!

Mr. Mathias Billmann, the CEO of Netlify, introduced a new term and a modern web development architecture, called as JAM stack. JAM is coined from the combination of three things, JavaScript, APIs, and Mark-up. JAM stack was designed with three important aspects in mind. They were Security, Speed, and Scalability. JAM stack has made all three components quite easy and accessible for the business and brands for its web development. JAM stack makes the process of web development more secure, faster, and very easy to scale.

JAMstack uses the technologies that are pre-rendered during the build time so that neither the server nor the browser has to have extra time to render and so the time is saved through the JAM stack

Benefits of switching to JAMstack:

Unique user experience

A website made with a jam stack becomes very fast in nature as it is pre-rendered during the building of the website leading to a better user experience and increased accessibility and Search Engine Optimization.

You can build your website just the way you want without compromising the speed or features you want to have. Besides, as Jam stack websites are static, they are extremely fast, and that’s what visitors expect.

Search Engine Optimization efficiency

The goal of each website owner is to get as high as possible in Google rankings, leading to more organic traffic and more leads.

Jam Stack websites are search engine optimization efficient! The websites can load fast, are mobile-friendly, has no broken links, and are easy to scan by Google leading to higher rankings than other kinds of websites.

Choosing Jam stack also means getting full control over the website’s content and structure, which is part of SEO. You can easily add custom metadata like page titles, Meta descriptions, and alt text, which helps search engines read and index your website’s content.

Scale

Popular architectures deal with heavy traffic loads by

adding logic to cache popular views and resources. The Jam stack provides this

by default. When sites can be served entirely from a CDN(Content Delivery

Network) there is no complex logic or

workflow to determine what assets can be cached and when. With Jam stack

sites, everything can be cached in a content delivery network.

Highly Secured Sites

In JAM Sack, there are no server site processors and everything works with the help of APIs and hence the data remains highly secured and the businesses do not need to worry about their cyber security.

Portable

By using the JAM stack it’s easy to move pre-generated files to the preferred host with easy portability.

Becoming future-proof

While planning a website, the important aspect is its dexterity for further changes. JAM stack makes it easy for companies to keep up with the technological or digital changes coming through in the web development industry.

The huge availability of developers

Developers want to work with new and booming technologies. Jam stack uses such technology. And so developers are easily available for the same.

Maintainability

JAM stack websites can be easily maintained due to its backend and frontend to be made using different pre available technologies

Saves Time

JAM stack uses the technologies that pre-render during the build time so that neither the server nor the browser has to have extra time to render and so the time is saved through the JAM stack

Developer Experience

The JAM Stack sites can be built with a wide range of varied tools. They do not depend on proprietary technologies or exotic and little-known frameworks. Instead, they build on widely available tools and conventions. As a result, it’s not hard to find enthusiastic and talented developers who have the right skills to build with the jam stack.

In addition to that, the Jam stack has many advantages. All static pages are generated at the time of build (deployment) and not reloaded, which provides exceptional loading speed. Unlike dynamic websites that depend heavily on a server and a database, Jam stack simply loads code that receives data from an API, JSON, Markdown, and CMS. HTML content is served via a CDN using a static site generator during deployment.

Having only static files, there is little chance that our website will be attacked. Indeed there is no flaw to exploit since there is no server-side processing.

Of course, the Jam stack provides static content and reduces security risks, but there is something else to consider in terms of security, calls made to external APIs. It is necessary to ensure that each exchange is secured via HTTPS.
